Full-Time Lobby Consumer and Mortgage Loan Officer
Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

***Occasional nights and weekends***

Bilingual Required- Spanish/English**

$100.00 Monthly Bilingual Bonus

Role:

TheConsumer and Mortgage Loan Officer is responsible for gathering the requiredinformation to accurately complete consumer loan applications and adhere to thecredit union lending policies and regulations. This position will provideexceptional member service and always project a positive and friendly image forthe credit union through interactions with members and co-workers. Attendanceis an essential function of performing the duties of this job.

 

EssentialFunctions & Responsibilities:

35% -Interviews and interactswith, and actively listens to loan applicants and ensures that complete,accurate information and documentation are received from and provided toapplicants prior to forwarding the application to underwriter. Explains loanoptions, rates, terms, and collateral requirements. Communicate loan decisionsand conditions to the member. Provides financial counseling so that a"no" is presented as "not yet".

25% - Actively seeks outopportunities to enhance the members’ experience by recognizing and presentingadditional loan opportunities or offering products and services that wouldimprove the members’ financial lives.

20% - Identify cross-sellopportunities and cross-sell services to member. Cross-sell all types of loanson a consistent basis meeting minimum requirements; cross-sell loan products toinclude vehicle warranties, GAP, loan protection products meeting minimum requirements.

10% - Staff community eventswithin the Community, including occasional nights and weekends. This wouldinclude but not be limited to events by non-profit organizations, schools, andchamber organizations.

5% - Assists members andpotential members with their in-person, telephone, video, and online requests;answers questions about lending products and services and resolves problemsthat are within their authority to resolve; refers problems beyond authority, alongwith recommendations, to supervisor.

5% - Performs other relatedduties as assigned.
