What is Interventional Pain Management?

Interventional Pain Management focuses on diagnosing and treating chronic pain conditions through minimally invasive techniques that go beyond medications and traditional therapies. As an Interventional Pain Management Physician, you’ll play a vital role in:

  • Utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to identify pain sources.
  • Performing procedures such as epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablations, and spinal cord stimulator placements.
  • Managing a wide range of pain-related conditions, including musculoskeletal disorders, neuropathic pain, and chronic post-surgical pain.
  • Developing individualized treatment plans aimed at improving patients' mobility, functionality, and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic pain conditions using advanced interventional techniques.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care tailored to each patient’s needs.
  • Stay at the forefront of medical advancements to offer innovative treatment solutions.
  • Travel between multiple clinic locations in San Diego as required.

Requirements

  • Licensure: Active or in-process California Medical License.
  • Certification: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pain Management, Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, or a related field.
  • Experience: Strong background in interventional pain management techniques and evidence-based practices.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel between clinic locations across San Diego.
