Residential and Commercial Plumber Plumbing Services Location - Remote/In-Office Policy: This is a fully on-site position servicing residential and commercial clients in the local service area. Job Description As a Residential and Commercial Plumber, you will handle a variety of plumbing projects including service calls, system installations, maintenance, and emergency repairs. Your day-to-day responsibilities will range from troubleshooting minor leaks to installing complex plumbing systems for new constructions and commercial renovations. You will play a critical role in ensuring plumbing systems function efficiently, safely, and up to code. In this position, you will work closely with other plumbers, apprentices, foremen, and clients. You will report directly to the Plumbing Supervisor. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and providing positive customer experience while being part of a supportive team. Duties and Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including water, gas, and drainage lines. Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing issues in both residential homes and commercial buildings. Install fixtures such as sinks, toilets, water heaters, and dishwashers. Read and interpret blueprints and plumbing schematics. Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and industry regulations. Perform routine maintenance and inspections to prevent system malfunctions. Complete documentation and service reports accurately. Communicate professionally with customers and team members regarding job progress. Assist with training and mentoring of plumbing apprentices as needed. Required Experience/Skills Minimum of 2 years' experience in residential and commercial plumbing work. Knowledge of local plumbing codes and industry safety standards. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions. Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills. Customer-oriented with strong communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Nice-to-Haves Experience with tankless water heaters, water softeners, or modern plumbing systems. OSHA safety certification or advanced plumbing certifications. Experience with backflow prevention devices and testing. Supervisory experience or interest in team leadership. Interest or experience in green plumbing solutions or water conservation systems. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program strongly preferred. Pay & Benefits Summary Competitive hourly wage of $27.50/hour with about 6 weeks of training depending on tech level. After training, eligible to earn 5% commission.
