Research Manager | New York, NY (Onsite) | Salary: $90,000 + commission

Overview: Our client, a leading global provider of expert network and primary research solutions, is seeking a Research Manager to lead a dynamic team and drive strategic engagement within the consulting sector. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with top-tier consulting firms, delivering high-impact insights and research that support critical business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of 6–8 research associates and analysts; provide coaching, performance feedback, and career growth opportunities.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as a key point of contact for consulting clients, deeply understanding their research needs and delivering customized, high-quality solutions.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee the end-to-end execution of research initiatives including expert interviews, surveys, and data analysis, ensuring projects meet timelines, quality standards, and client expectations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align on research strategy, client goals, and execution plans.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track team KPIs and workflow efficiency; identify areas for operational improvement and implement best practices.
  • Account Growth: Identify opportunities to expand client engagements and support business development efforts through superior service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related discipline (advanced degrees a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience in research, consulting, expert networks, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing teams of 5 or more.
  • Strong background in client relationship management, especially within the consulting industry.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and project management capabilities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
