Job Summary

Steward Machine Company is actively seeking a visionary Senior Detailer/Draftsman to elevate our engineering team. We are looking for a dynamic individual with a minimum of 5 years of experience, exceptional proficiency in AutoCAD Inventor, and an engineering degree or equivalent hands-on expertise. This pivotal role demands a proactive, organized, and disciplined self-starter who is passionate about mechanical and/or structural engineering and possesses outstanding communication skills. Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting & Detailing: Drive precision and innovation in technical drawing.
  • Engineer, review, and refine detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD Inventor to bring complex designs to life.
  • Translate intricate engineering designs into precise, actionable technical documentation.
  • Champion adherence to company standards, industry regulations, and client requirements across all drawing outputs.
  • Project Collaboration: Foster seamless integration and impactful contributions.
  • Collaborate directly with design engineers and production teams to gather project requirements and deliver critical drafting support that accelerates project timelines.
  • Actively participate in design reviews, providing insightful feedback and recommendations that optimize project outcomes.
  • Quality Assurance & Documentation:
  • Ensure excellence and maintain integrity.
  • Execute rigorous quality checks to guarantee drawings are accurate, complete, and consistently adhere to the highest standards.
  • Maintain meticulously organized and up-to-date records of all project files and revisions, ensuring data integrity.
  • Mentorship & Process Improvement: Cultivate growth and drive efficiency.
  • Mentor and guide junior drafters and detailers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing learning environment.
  • Identify and spearhead opportunities for process improvements, implementing best practices to optimize drafting and design documentation workflows.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in a drafting/detailing role.
  • Proven expertise with AutoCAD Inventor.
  • Education:
  • Engineering degree (Mechanical, Structural, or related field) or equivalent hands-on experience.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
