Job Summary

The Van Driver is responsible for providing program participant transportation for the participants in our Community Integration program. This person is knowledgeable in vehicle maintenance and exhibits exceptional customer service.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Transport participants to and from Goodwill Workforce Development Center and off-site events.
  • Safely load and unload participants, ensuring participants follow all vehicle safety requirements while in transit.
  • Maintain order and appropriate behavior of participants in van and, occasionally, on-site, elevating concerns to leadership.
  • Maintain basic van maintenance, mileage and safety checks.
  • Maintain logs and reports, as required.

Educational Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in driving a van or small transportation vehicles highly preferred.
  • Experience assisting participants in similar programs highly preferred.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and be able to pass Motor Vehicle Report.
  • Must have current certifications in First Aid and CPR.
  • Must have, to be willing to receive, certification in personal intervention.
  • Must be customer service oriented and have strong verbal communication skills.
  • Must be comfortable physically assisting participants load and unload vehicles, as necessary.
  • Multi-lingual, preferred.
